Exhibit at East Window South, “Disgust: unhealthy practices,” has been encapsulated into a book that will celebrate its release with a party Friday. The art show, curated by gallery owner, filmmaker and photographer Todd Edward Herman, features more than 100 writers and artists from around the world who responded to an open call. The release party will feature live readings and music by Toni Oswald, Max Davies, Sarah Elizabeth Schantz, H.P. CU Art Museum is hosting a summer celebration and opening reception for its new exhibit “Lasting Impressions” from 5-7 p.m. Thursday. There will be food, fun, music, art and a live printmaking demonstration by local artist Sam Cikauskas. Attendees can make their own prints to take home.
